To open, I now navigate to where your save is located. Now I will open the FF8 Save Editor (called Hyne). (it would be wise to back up this file in case you corrupt it) And you have the save editor for that game. You found where that save is stored on your External HD (or on the mini). (IE: A "Save Point" or "Being outside Saveing")ĭO NOT CONTINUE UNLESS YOU SEE A "save.sram" Lets recap here: You saved your game to the Emulators internal memory. You didn't save your game in the internal memory. You are in the wrong folder (IE: Wrong Game ID).IF YOU DO NOT SEE a "save.sram" then it could be a few things. Note: If you aren't using a external HD and using the mini itself you'd need to goto the saves folder on the mini via FTP) In that folder (your game id) you SHOULD see a file named: save.sram (in this case, our game id is: CLV-G-YMUNT) | Your External HD| > |Hakchi| > |Saves| > || You see how this PS1 game Final Fantasy VIII is: CLV-G-YMUNT? REMEMBER THAT In your Hakchi you'll just see the game title on the left and the ID on the upper middle. So The highlighted FF8 isn't how it will show in Hakchi. (Note: I've edited the image to show that I selected FF8 in the image and to show the Game Info. Identify your game ID that Hakchi shows it as: (IE: The PS1s internal Memory Card 1 > Slot 1) So for FF8, I goto a save point and save to slot 1. For example for NES FF1 I googled:Īnd I found this NES FF1 Editor called FFse:ĭO THIS FIRST BEFORE YOU ATTEMPT THIS TUTORIAL If you want to edit your particular game, google it. (this is only for FF8 and its what i used for this example) Youll need this FF8 Save Editor called Hyne: (or one for your game)
#Ff8 save game editors mod#
To begin, you obviously need to mod your mini and select a core for the PS1 game and since I am doing a PS1 game, you will also need to have an external HD and an OTG cable working (due to size limitations). So in this example I am going to use PS1 Final Fantasy 8 and at the end Ill show you that I edited NES Final Fantasy 1 using the same concept. I've tried this for other games such as FF7 or a simple NES editor for others like Dragon Warrior 4 or Final Fantasy 1.

This example can work for other games as well, just obviously use the correct save editor for that game.

#Ff8 save game editors zip#
To use the zip files, just copy them to the SOUND directory in whatever directory X-COM is in and unzip them.įor the first attachment, the original X-COM midi files, so that people can restore the original music after the new music files become available.Well I was banging my head on trying to figure this out and I googled hours on end and asked in discord.
#Ff8 save game editors zip file#
copy various midi files that would fit those settings, rename them appropriately and place them in a zip file with the title of your "theme." Then attach the zip file to this thread for all to enjoy. GMWIN = The music that plays after you kill the alien brain in Cydonia. GMTACTIC = The music that plays during ground assaults. GMSTORY = The music that plays at the title screen. GMNEWMAR = The music that plays after the team has entered the underground Cydonia base. GMMARS = The music that plays when the Avenger is landing at Cydonia GMLOSE = The music that plays for the losing screens. GMINTRO3 = Music that plays at the intro when X-COM decides to intervene. GMINTRO2 = Music that plays at the intro when the mutons jump out of the ship and start shooting people. GMINTRO1 = Music that plays at the intro while the alien craft is looking around with its spotlights. GMINTER = Music that plays while an interception craft is trying to down a UFO. GMGEO2 = A slightly more upbeat Geoscape music (tends to play immediately after tactical missions) GMGEO1 = One type of Geoscape music (tends to play at game start and immediately after interceptions) GMENBASE = The sound that plays while the Skyranger is landing at a terror site or for an alien base assault. GMDEFEND = The sound that plays while the Skyranger is landing at a crash-site or a ground assault (and, coincidentally, X-COM Base Defense) Here is the plan, let's use this thread to post alternative midi files for the UFO Defense game (later I'll make an equivalent thread for Terror from the Deep).
